Question - Vauge discharge instructions today for my TVT Vauge discharge instructions today for my TVT

Hello Sisters! Hoping some of you could help me. I'm still loopy so bear with my "explanation of thing's ". My Urogyn had another surgery after mine and there were complications. He did speak to hubby but never came to post op recovery or my private room to visit me with discharge instructions. He didn't even have a chance to put pain meds in the computer that I could have while in my room. So I waited forever...ate my saltine crackers and finally sent hubby to get me a sandwich. After awhile I could feel a fullness and used a hot pad for pain. Time wore on and I begged for pain meds. This was 3 hours after I should have been discharged. So a obgyn on call allowed me to have a shot of Toradol IM...ouch my rear end felt like it was on fire! My urogyn was still with his other patient so obgyn gives me the following discharge info...no lifting +10 lbs and vaginal rest for 4 weeks (post op appointment) and no driving for 72 hours. Return if fever is greater than 100.4° or soaking through a pad in less than 2 hours.

What I want to know is...what were your discharge instructions? Should I use common sense and go similar to my hysterectomy discharge instructions?

Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Vauge discharge instructions for my TVT

no sit down baths. Don't drive while taking narcotics. I was put on about a week drive restriction minimum. Call if you have trouble peeing or pooing. Call if pain is not controlled by meds. I am on a light soup diet for a few days, but I have had trouble passing gas.

I would suggest taking stool softeners one to two times per day as well until you are healed.
