Worried

I had my total hysterectomy on Aug 8th and things were going well. I had no bleeding at all and both yesterday and today I have been having bright red blood. My belly is very tender to the touch and i am worried that something wrong. Anyone else ever had this happen? Advice?
Thanks in advance

Re: Worried

I had that happen - blood not the sore tummy but at about the same point. I was told if you pass clots or fill a pad in one hour to go to the ER otherwise light spotting even bright red can be fine. It's usually a sign you are doing too much and you need to rest more. Call your doc tomorrow though if you are terribly concerned.

Re: Worried

I too had light spotting. My gyn said spotting is okay as long as it is not heavy or clotty

Re: Worried

Usually bright red blood is an indication of too much activity. Especially if you feel good it's deceiving to think its okay to "do". Rest may be in order for you so that things can calm down. Hope that helps!
