When do menapause systems begin

Hi Sisters,

I had a DVTH BSO a week ago and now that I am officially in menopause I was wondering how soon I will begin to suffer all the symptoms. I know everyone is different but I was perimenopausal before my surgery and rarely ever felt any hot flashes or other menopause symptoms. I just want to get an idea how soon most of you ladies began to feel the symptoms after your surgery and what are the most common.

My symptoms actually got better after my hysterectomy. I came out of surgery with the hormone patch on, but some women continue to have symptoms with it on. I have not had one hot flash or any other bothersome symptoms of menopause. I hope that this does not change.
That said I hope that you remain symptom free!

I had a total hysterectomy with ovaries removed on July 26th. I have not had one symptom yet I have not used any hormone therapy and so far so good!
