Hysterectomy: October 29th, 2001
TAH BSO on 10/29--abdom numb sometimes

Hello hyster sisters! I just joined today! My outside abdomen area is numb sometimes--almost like it is asleep. My doctor says it is because the nerves were severed during surgery. Does anyone else have this? Will it go away? Comments welcome!

Numbness around incision?

Hi,

I had my TAH/BSO in October also, and I still have some numbness around the incision area. The degree of numbness and the area it includes may be related to how much work the dr needed to do. Most of the feeling is starting to come back now, but I have talked to someone who still has some numbness right on the incision after years.
