bladder tack
ok {big sigh~~~}
i had my 2 week postop yesterday, and the incision outside is healing great, etc etc, but i was developing a bladder infection, and after listening to my tummy, pushing lightly around, i was told " no lifting over 1 lb. for 2 weeks" i said youre kidding, but she said, no!. she said i had so very much done at one time, i have to allow more healing time.
the bladder tack is such a sensitive surgery, that im very close to tearing it open and showing up at the hospital in a depends.
and that just because i feel better, does NOT mean i am better.
so, its back to square 1, and i need to learn how to just lay down and not overdo it.
my daily activity list can be, shower, brush teeth, eat, 2 15 minutes walk, 15 minutes comp. time, and rest the other time.
i cried. its hard to lay down when you feel ok to do things, she also changed my return to work day the surgeon had said, he said i could return to work feb 27th, she (lvn, i go to a clinic) said MAYBE mid march. my boss is gonna love this, tyhey may replace me now, i waitress in a small diner.
so, im off to be a good girl and get my tush back in bed.
plz, anyone else who recently had bladder reair, when they give a weight limit, theres a reason,
even my blow dryer is too heavy to lift, although i felt no strain when using it, she said its too heavy.
huge hugs!!!!

((((((Fluff))))))
Thanks for the update, and for the reminder that, even when we feel 'pretty good to do things', we're still healing inside, and it's probably best to take it easy anyway. There's plenty of time later - once we're healed - to 'do stuff', huh?
HUGS, sister!
