LSH- Great Experience

After suffering for nearly two years with very painful periods, I was recently diagnosed with adenomyosis. After discussing various options, I decided that a LSH was the best option for me. Fortunately, my uterus was very small and there were no adhesions.

Surgery went well, and the worst part of my recovery was waking up from anesthesia, and the need to pee every 10 minutes (which resolved a day later). I went home the same day. At no point in my recovery was my surgical pain even close to the pain I felt from the adenomyosis. As I write this, I am post-op day 4 and haven't even taken a Motrin today. I feel like I could probably go back to work in a few days, except that I find that I tire easily.

All in all, a great surgical experience. I am very happy with my decision.
