9.5 weeks post op vaginal swelling???

Hi sisters. Hoping someone out there cn give light to my new situation. I feel like such a whiner. All I so is complain about all these post op issues. Well ok. Anyway. I noticed yesterday and more today that my vagina feels like the skin is running together inside or is swollen and kinda hurts. NOW I have been way more active the last two weeks but its noticeably uncomfortable. I am on estrogen replacement. I had vaginal prolapse fixed when I had surgery. I don't have issues moving bowels those if I bear down I feel pressure but I just attribute that to being fixed. I am hoping this feeling is just from too much activity and of course I would like suggestions. This isn't anything I need worry about is it? Dh and I had relations last night too. A connection?

Re: 9.5 weeks post op vaginal swelling???

I had repairs on September 28th, including a bladder lift. I definitely still swell when I sit down and when I am more active. Actually sitting is probably the most bothersome thing. I have more relief standing or laying flat in terms of the swelling. I am also experiencing some pretty big issues with my bowels and this puts pressure on that area which may be contributing. Blood rushes to the area when you have sex so I bet that is a factor. I was just checked on Tuesday and there are no signs of prolapse. I think this is all just part of healing :-)

I'm almost 8 weeks post op and I too have a 'feeling' in the vagina. Can't really describe it but feels quite high up, additionally I'm still spotting which has turned pink/ red again. I'm hoping the sensation is due to nerve recovery x

Update. Hooray! Feeling way better. I think it was combination of too much activity too fast. I just don't know how to go slow. It's all or nothing. I suppose it is now lesson learned.

For peace of mind I would probably check with your doctor on Monday. My best guess is that it is from having relations, it's all new now and some hormonal changes have occured. I'm guessing you are probably swollen inside from last night. Search for a recent post about using a good natural lubricant to help with friction that caused other sisters pain and swelling.
Good Luck!
