I would wait awhile before doing so. After my tah/bso my hair would not hold a perm. It took a good six months of pampering my hair before it returned to normal. All is well now, but the effects of the hormones and anethesia did a number on my hair during the early months post op. Just my worth.
after my hyster a/p repair , i went for my usual hair date and the color went on way darker than usual . usually it fades but not this time .... also my hair feel out like crazy up until a few weeks ago . i am 5 months post of today .
Hi Sisters, I am a hairstylist. Just wanted to give you a little bit of info. When you have anesthesia It will come out threw your hair. Any thing you take into your body will come out threw your hair (this is why they take hair samples for drug tests). After your surgery, before you have any "chemical service" at the salon you should have a Malibu treatment. This will take out any impurities or build up in your hair. Hope this helps
What is a Malibu treatment ? Is that like a deep conditioning ? It's to late for me as I am now 5 months post op and had my hair done twice since . I use goldwell shampoo and conditioner and deep condition once a week . My sister in law is a hair stylist .
So why does our hair fall out so bad after surgery ? I take the same hormones now that I took before surgery .
Thanks for the info ... I will pass it along
