Did I pee the bed?

Hi.
I'm 3 weeks post op today. This morning I woke up with the all too familiar feeling of being wet, immediately I thought "Oh no my period" then realized it's not possible. I went into the bathroom worried about seeing blood, but it was just wet.
This hasn't happened before, and other than some constipation, my plumbing has been working just fine. So now I don't know if I'm leaking, if i peed the bed, or if the cyst on my ovary ruptured. With the top of the vagina all sewn up, would that leak out?
At 3 weeks post op with no other problems, could it even be the bladder?
Any experience would be helpful. I bought a pack of maxipads for the time being.

Re: Did I pee the bed?

My doctor told me that if the vagina cuff (where they sew the opening) came open fluid would come out. He said he would be kind of like your water breaking. He said if this happened to call the doctor office right away. I would call them to check.

Re: Did I pee the bed?

Hi
I had a period of about 4 weeks where I was getting a really watery discharge, i thought it was pee too. Weirdly it would come out more if I bent down or stood on one leg to pull on my trousers. Also first thing in the morning. It was around the 3 week mark where I started to notice it first.
At week 7 I went to the surgeon for a check up and he did an internal and said have you been getting a lot of clear discharge and I said yes, he said he would expect that as my stitches were still healing. I didn't ask what it was but he seemed to think it was normal.
I'm a number of months down the line but even now I get the odd return of this, maybe every couple of weeks.

Re: Did I pee the bed?

This sounds stupid...but the first time I had night sweats I thought I'd pee'd in the bed because I was so wet! After I realized what it was, I was slightly relieved...but then it lasted for about 5 nights, so annoyed at the same time!

Could it be that?

Or...are you still on pain meds? Could you have been so asleep that maybe you didn't wake up to go to the bathroom?

Re: Did I pee the bed?

No, I monitored it during the day yesterday, and I leaked all day, I am now wearing maxipads. I soaked through on through the night again last night. The evening before, I had this terrible pain in my lower abdomen (like straight across below the hips, just above the pubic bone). I called the doc yesterday when I realized it wasn't stopping. He has me coming in this morning. It doesn't look like pee, more clear than yellow, but is quite watery.
I had a terrible time with vomitting for 10 days after the surgery, and every time it hurt so bad, wondering if maybe I weakened some stitches or something. Will find out more today.

Re: Did I pee the bed?

Ok, so the doctor said it seems that there is a collection of fluid just inside and it's trying to drain, hence the leaking. I didn't rip anything, thank goodness. The doctor released two stitches to let it drain, sent me for more blood work, put me on two antibiotics and has rescheduled me to see him on Friday, then an ultrasound on Tuesday and back to him next Thursday. He wants to see if the cyst that I have on my ovary has ruptured, and that's where the fluid came from, or if it's a separate issue.
But, he said he could see where the discharge was coming from, and I think I got a bit more info, as he has a student doctor right now, so as they were discussing it, it made more sense to me.
In the meantime, the leaking seems to have decreased a bit, it's still there, but not as much as it was originally.
