Discomfort and discharge after transvaginal ultrasound?

I had a pelvic exam 5 days ago, and a transvaginal ultrasound 4 days ago. I have had some discomfort and mild pain ever since and yesterday had some slight brown discharge. Has anyone ever had this? There is no doubt to me it is from the procedure! Do you think this got things moving or something??

I am 12 years post menopause and this has never happened before!

Re: Discomfort and discharge after transvaginal ultrasound?

I have had transvaginal ultrasounds where I was uncomfortable for a day or so but didn't have discharge. I would call your doc's office and let them know what is happening. It may be that this did stir up things but better to check it out.

Glad to hear it. I'll tell you that whenever I hear those words I cringe inside. I had to take pain meds prior because I knew how uncomfortable it would be.

Re: Discomfort and discharge after transvaginal ultrasound?

I will be having a repeat in about 3 months UGH. My doc said 5-6 months and the radiologist report suggests 3-6 months so I am going with 6 months. I sure hope the cyst is not any bigger then!
