So Far So Good!

Greetings to all:
Had surgery on the 20th this week. All went quite well, very little pain, bleeding or discomfort. Had the TVH. The same night I was up sitting the next day up and walking around. Left the hospital within two days. I feel great right now. The doctor warned however, no heavy lifting, pushing or pulling. No straining when going to the bathroom. Hence stool softeners and prune juice. I really am worried now that everything will hold up. I am going to try to find out about additional exercises that can be done for support.
Anyway thanks to this site for all the support and information.
Peace and love,

So Far So Good!

Hi Light,

Welcome Home!!

I'm glad you have posted to let us all know that your surgery went well and that you're back home.

I recently read a post (which I can't find right now) that mentioned continuing to do Kegel exercises even after a hyst.
I thought I'd ask my doctor about that, the next time I see him. You might want to check into it, too. Until I read that post and now yours, I hadn't thought about the need to continue to do them, but it makes sense.

Take care, , lots, and be sure to continue to al little each day.

So Far So Good!

Thanks for letting us know that you're doing well!

You might want to post this question over on the post op board. The ladies there are going through similar experiences and may have lots of ideas to share.

You might also want to visit Hysteritaville and look at some of the posts. Of course, no exercise for you yet, but it's a great resource.

Ask your doctor when you can start doing the don't want to stress the muscles and ligaments in there too soon! Keep drinking and resting and walking a little....pamper the princess!
