The Crowned Princess

I got to come home today, finally. Was unable to eat on Wed/Thursday, so they kept me and extra night because of nausea. Felt good to get home, and other than the uncomfy gas pains, which aren't too bad, I feel good. Can sleep at the drop of a hat though! LOL

I don't remember much of anything regarding Wednesday, other than pushing my demerol pvc button.....Thursday I almost cried when they said I must walk.....seemed so impossible! However, it isn't! The more I walked the better I felt. It was good to get out of bed. However, it did seem odd that the women who just had babies were moving up/down hall much quicker than I ! LOL

Back to the bed.....just wanted to let you all know I am home and happy its over. Ahhhhhhh
Best Wishes to all!

And Kitten, thank you so much sweetie!!!

Hi Reba,

Welcome Home!!

I'm so sorry that you had to stay an extra day because of nausea, but glad to know that you are feeling better now.

I know what you mean about pushing that button. In my case it was morphine, and according to my DH and DD, I never took my thumb off of the button - but I don't remember any pain, so it must have worked just fine.

Be sure to , lots, and then some more.

Welcome home !!!!

I'm so happy that you are home and resting in your own bed. Now remember all your good princess training, and rest, drink, walk a little, and exercise that remote-clicking finger!!!

Welcome to the other side!!!

Congratulations Reba. Glad to hear all went well for you.

I know how you felt when they said you had to walk. I felt about the same, but once I was up, there was no stopping me. In hospital when I wasn't sleeping, a lot of the time I walked round and round the ward as nurses said that would help with gas. And it did.

My partner came up to see me and he could not believe the difference 24 hours had made. When he walked in the ward, I was walking towards him. His jaw just dropped. He was just amazed. Well, I haven't looked back since then.

Once again, congratulations. Remember you are now a princess and as such, need to be pampered. Heaps of resting, lots of drinking fluids and a little walking often.

Rest a lot, drink lots of water, act like the princess you are

Stop back and let us know how you are doing in a few days.
