this, that, and the other thing

Hi everyone,
Gee, everytime I try to submit a thread, it disappears. Hmmm, I hope there's not 5 or 6 threads out there that are all the same that actually did go thru. Oh well, here I go again.
Had my AH on the 24 of Jan. this year, but still have an ovary. I have been feeling great, considering. There are just a few...let's say weird things happening to my body since the surgery. About a week post op. I developed a sore scalp with an odor to boot,(from my scalp). I have developed acne, at the age of 40! My hair is dry, falls out more, a lot more, and the texture is like a poor lost dog in embarrassing. The mailman really does have a reason to worry...but it has nothing to do with the dog...ahem. My doctor says that my body is adapting to the changes. Is anyone else experiencing these weird"E.T. go home" symptoms???

Hi There!

I'm sorry you are having these symptoms; I think it might be a good idea to consult your DR.

I know that anesthesia can sometimes yield some odd symptoms, but so can hormone-related issues.

Best wishes; hope you find the solution and that your symptoms improve very soon!

this, that, and the other thing

Hi ljaie, it's funny, those sound a lot like some of the symptoms I was having before my surgery! My DR said they were due to perimenopausal hormone changes (I'm 45). I had a bad problem with acne, mostly in my scalp. Since my surgery (it's 3 weeks today) all my symptoms have disappeared! I assume it's due to the HRT (I'm on an estrogen patch). I would guess that the symptoms you are having are all hormonal, and hopefully your DR can help get those straightened out soon!
Good luck and

- Linda

this, that etc.

Toonces and Surferbabe,
Thanx for responding. yes, my doctor did say it had to do with hormonal changes, my body adapting, etc. It's gross though. Who needs that with all the other fun stuff that goes along with aging. My hubby and I are on a definite hiatus and there is NO FREAKIN WAY I am going to get anywhere near any new men, well not now anyway, just breaking up and all, but not in the future either with the "smelly scalp syndrome"'s weird that you had it before your surgery surferbabe...well, not weird really but weird for me. I wish it would go NOW!...thanx again LJ
