Had My 3 Weeks Post Op Check.....

HIYA SISTERS,
JUST HAD MY 3 WEEKS POST CHECK THIS AFTERNOON AND EVERYTHING IS A-OKAY!
INCISION IS HEALING JUST AS IT SHOULD BE.
REPORTED EVERYTHING I HAD BEEN FEELING THIS PAST 2 WEEKS AND DR SAID IT'S ALL NORMAL.
HAD 4 QUESTIONS IN HAND THAT I HAD TO ASK:
- WHEN CAN I DRIVE? WE'LL SEE HOW YOUR DOING ON YOUR NEXT CHECK UP ( WHICH IS IN 4 WEEKS)
- CAN I BEND OR VACUUM NOW? DEFINITELY NO HOUSEWORKS YET, EVEN JUST SWEEPING THE KITCHEN FLOOR, OR DOING LAUNDRY (PICKING UP LAUNDRY BASKET)
- CAN I HAVE MY EYES CHECK NOW? ( concerned bec. of LUPRON changed my eye sight) IT'S BEEN 2 MONTHS IT'S OKAY
- THE BIG QUESTION? SEX???? DEFINITELY INTERNALLY.
YOU CAN EXPLORE AS MUCH AS YOU WANT EXTERNALLY.
THE DR SAID TO DH "YOU CAN'T HAVE YOUR WIFE BACK YET. YOU CAN HAVE HER BACK WHEN I RELEASE HER TO YOU". I THOUGHT THAT WAS FUNNY.
ANYWAY..... AS YOU CAN SEE..... ANOTHER PRINCESS IS RECOVERING JUST FINE. THANKS TO ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT SISTERS. UNTIL NEXT TIME...... TATA!!!

Had My 3 Weeks Post Op Check.....

Hi Mary
I went for my three week apt yesterday, and I'm also A-OK, she's happy with the way the everything is healing. I have to go back in 4 weeks (which will be a 7 week check up instead of 6 week). I can drive, but still no lifting, and take it easy. I need afternoon naps, especially if I've been up and about all morning. I really can't believe how good I feel, I barely know now that I had anything done.

Pathology report: I didn't ask for all the details, I'm going to get the medical records from the hospital, but... lots of fibroids, another polyp, uterus enlarged, and cysts on both ovaries.

I have a confession to make: when my family is around I make sure I move very slowly so they know I'm still recovering, but when they're not around I walk perfectly normal. Went out to eat tonight with dh, I was happy to get home and out of my jeans, they're not bad, but I don't know how many hours I can wear them for at this point. If I wasn't sitting down probably longer.

Had My 3 Weeks Post Op Check.....

THANKS CATHERINE, I WAS SO GLAD MYSELF THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL. I WAS WORRIED THAT SOMETHING IS GOING TO GO WRONG, BUT I'M GLAD I WAS WRONG.

HI MARYLOU,
GLAD TO HEAR FROM ANOTHER FEB.5 PRINCESS. I'M GLAD TO HEAR EVERYTHING IS GOING JUST A-OK TO YOU TOO.
I'M GOING TO HAVE MY NEXT APPT. IN 4 WEEKS TOO, JUST ABOUT THE SAME TIME AS YOURS. YOUR SO LUCKY THAT YOUR DR. ALREADY GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO DRIVE. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN SINCE SEPT. 2001 DUE TO SEVERELY ANEMIC CAUSE OF FIBROIDS. I DON'T HAVE THE NEED TO TAKE NAPS, BUT OF COURSE I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS GOING TO SLEEP ALSO; IT SEEMS THAT IT IS GETTING BETTER THOUGH.
AS FAR AS PATHOLOGY REPORT.... I JUST REQUEST FOR A COPY OF MY RECORDS AND THEN I'LL SCRUTINIZE THEM WHEN I GET IT. LOL.
THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA (BOY, WE'RE BAAAD) ABOUT NOT MOVING NORMAL WHEN THEY'RE HOME. JEANS?????WOAH!!! I DON'T WANT TO EVEN THINK OF TRYING IT FOR NOW. I'M COMFORTABLE ON WEARING MY GOOD OLD MATERNITY OVERALL JEANS, PULL UP COTTON PANTS AND STIR-UPS FOR NOW. I LOVE MY PJ'S THOUGH, NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE BUT NOW I HAVE 2 PAIRS.
STILL HAVE THAT BLOATING AND HARDNESS FEELING DOWN THERE FROM TIME TO TIME. ALMOST DON'T NEED TO TAKE PAIN MEDS ANYMORE EXCEPT WHEN I TEND TO OVERDO THINGS WHICH I DO.
YESTERDAY, I ENDED UP VACUUMING THE KITCHEN FLOOR (I KNOW, I KNOW I SHOULD'NT HAVE BUT I CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE) AND SON AND DH GAVE ME THIS MEAN LOOK AND DH ENDED UP VACUUMING THE REST OF THE HOUSE. WELL, AT LEAST I GOT THE CARPET CLEANED TOO. NOW I FEEL BETTER. HAAAAAHHH......
AND WE ALL THINK THE SAME..... YES! WHEN THEY SEE YOU MOVING NORMAL AND OUT OF PJ'S THEY TEND TO THINK EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL. BUT I JUST FORGET SOMETIMES.
ANYWAY, KEEP IN TOUCH. I DON'T HEAR VERY MUCH ANYMORE FROM THE FEB 5 PRINCESSES, IT SUPPOSED TO BE 30 OF US.

TAKE CARE AND TAKE IT EASY. ****MARY****

Glad to hear that you are doing so well. I am 5 weeks post and doing well too, I have been driving and lifting restriction are up 10 pounds after my 2 week check up. I go Monday for my 6 week and hope to be released for "full bedroom action" as my anniversary is Wed! Continue to take good care of yourself.

Had My 3 Weeks Post Op Check.....

Mary,

Jeans? WOW! I'm impressed! I am only 10 days post op and I have a check up today. I am thinking about driving myself, but I'm a little nervous about it. I feel like I can drive without any problems and of course I drive an automatic. My appointment's at 4:00 so I'll decide between now and then.

I have wore nothing but big pajama tops and flannel nightgowns that are very comfortable and I have nicknamed them my granny gowns. I wore nylon sweats home from the hospital and realized that the waiste band hit in the wrong spot! I can't think about a pair of jeans yets! Congratulations and I'm so glad to hear that other people are doing so well so quickly it gives me hope!

Had My 3 Weeks Post Op Check.....

Mary,

Congratulations on your 3 week checkup!! Sounds like you are well on your way to recovery! My 4 week checkup is next week. I got the ok to drive this week, but I'm still taking it easy. I can't believe how different doctors are. Even at 22 days post op, I'm ok to do dishes and sit for short periods. But with me being me, I push it more than I should, and end up paying for it at the end of the night. Any-who.....congrats and take care!!

HELLO BIG C,
I ONLY WORE THE JEANS BEC. IT IS BIG AND COMFY. IT IS ACTUALLY MY MATERNITY OVERALL AND IT HAS 3 ADJUSTABLE SNAPS AND I USED THE MIDDLE ONE. BELIEVE ME.... MY DH HAD TO HELP ME AT FIRST TO PUT IT ON.

I HAVE MY GOOD DAYS AND NOT SO GOOD DAYS. ACTUALLY TODAY IS BAD DAY IN A WAY. HAVE SOME ACHES AND PAINS,NOT SURE IF I'M OVERDOING THINGS OR I'M GETTING MY DH'S FLU, YIKES! I HOPE NOT.

I ONLY STARTED WEARING MY OVERALLS TOO WHEN I'M ALREADY 2 WEEKS POST-OP AND ABOUT THE PJ'S.... I AM STARTING TO LOVE THEM. NEVER OWNED ONE BEFORE TILL NOW AND I ONLY HAVE 2 PAIRS. PLANNING ON BUYING SOME MORE IF THEIR ON CLEARANCE OR ON SALE.

KEEP IN TOUCH. LOVE TO SEE THIS THREAD GOING. TAKE CARE.
