tomorrow's my day

Well, I'm off to the castle tomorrow morning at 6 am. First surgery scheduled, so no waiting around. I haven't slept well the last three nights, so I'm sure I won't sleep well tonight either. I do feel a strange kind of calmness though. This site is wonderful and has been invaluable to me. Thank you all so much. My computer (it's old), has been freezing on me quite a bit the last month, so it's been hard to post a lot, but I have been able to get a lot of advice here. DH ordered us a brand new dell computer so that should be here later today. See you on the post op side. Marie TAH adeno, numerous fibroids, heavy bleeding, enlarged uterus.(keeping ovaries, hopefully)

Good luck to you tomorrow. I felt the same sense of calmness myself the night before my surgery but was a wreck for a month prior. Remember do NOT drink anything or eat anything after about 10:00pm. Eat a light dinner. Don't know if you did any bowel prep but I did a fleet enema and I think it helped me. Let us know how you are doing once you come back from the Hospital and feel up to writing. My last bit of advice to you is do not allow your self to be in pain in the hospital. They have excellent drugs and you should use them. I found that Di-A-Laude-did was more tolerable on my stomach then morphine and you can get it in one of those self dispensing finger pump deals. I also asked for anti nausau drugs to be put in the iv while I was under and that helped alot too. Best to you and I hope this helps abit.
