Krantz procedure for bladder, rectocele repair

Will have TVH, oophorectomy, Krantz and rectocele repair on 3/11/02. Anyone else have the Krantz type repain? Does it have
an abd. incision? Also, haven't heard anyone talk much about rectal pain after surgery.............???
Also, sounds like I'm going to have trouble fitting into my professional clothes for a seminar at 4th week post op........bring out the "granny dresses?"

Here is a website about the procedure, also referred to as MMK:

Yes, bring out something comfortable to wear to the seminar. Hope you will be able to lie down intermittently so your tummy gets a rest from all that sitting and standing. That can get mighty uncomfortable otherwise. (we all react differently, so , some could probably do it moderately comfortably by then.)

My rectocele repair was most noticable to me when I needed to have a bm. during the first few weeks. Some complain of pain with bm after hyst even without that repair, tho. All my stitches were internal. Some have had trouble sitting, but it was not an issue for me.

If you want to read more accounts of experiences and haven't yet tried using the little purple search button, I would recommend that. The archives might yield somthing on the subject too.
