Hi Ladies, 2 days away and almost crisis :<(

I was very concern last Thursday I got a bad Cold. I called my Dr. and he gave me Antibiotics, since you can not take any thing else, and hoping to get better. If not Surgery needed to be canceled :<(.

Well I was in bed since Friday so the whole weekend. And
i am glad I feel better and ready to call my Dr. and let him know that I am at work with my patients too.
I hope he will agree with me and go ahead about this Surgery this Wednesday the 6th.

Another thing I spoke with my Mother. That she leaves in another Country. She was very sad that I did no go there and have this procedure close to her :<( . Buy I hope she Understood.

O.K. ladies, I will let you know about my crisis.
Thanks for been here. :>)

Oh no :(

Zinc lozenges work well when I get sniffles, they are the best! I'd up the Vitamin C too. I go in 3 days and (knock on wood) I feel real good...not even scared...I am SURE that will change on Wednesday night though LOL

Good luck chasing the cold away...I would not want to postpone either .....no one would!!

get your doctors okay for anything...even zinc

I got bronchitis about 3 weeks before surgery...scared me! Had my leave of absence all planned and everything. But it did work out okay for me; I hope it will for you.

Ladies, watch out about taking ANYTHING, even vitamins and everyday medications (OTC stuff). There are some good posts around here which talk about herbs to avoid. Your doctor has probably told you things also. Just be sure you check before you take anything!

Good luck...I hope all goes as planned!

Watch the Vitamins before surgery

LindaJean is right. I believe Vitamin C and E are on the list of no-nos before having surgery. You need to stop taking them a certain no. of days before being operated on. There are others also. They make it easier for you to bleed and don't want that during surgery. Ask your Dr. for sure.
Best wishes to all for a quick recovery

Yes I stop taking Vit. C and Vit. E for a week, my Dr. and the Nurse from the hospital told me that too. I appreciate your Info. Looking forward my procedure. :<(
