Neck Pain 7 weeks post op

Hello! I am 7 weeks post op and recovering well. However, 2 days ago, I was rushed to ER due to severe neck pain. It was sooo painful that I cant even move my head. I had an xray and Dr said it was muscle spasm. She gave me Myonal which provided only little comfort. So I began to take ibuprofen last night. Today, my neck pain still exists.

I was feeling great last week that I started to become active by attending 2 parties, cooking (my maid did all the chopping and cleaning), shopping (hubby carrying all bags). Now Im back to bed.

Is neck pain part of post op? I also feel small sharp pains in my tummy. Looks like I need to take 2 steps back. Haist...

Re: Neck Pain 7 weeks post op

Poor you

I'm not sure neck pain is linked but I developed arm pain (brachialgia) a couple of weeks after my TVT surgery in February!!

I saw a chiropractor and he said I had compressed C6 in my neck - so I'm guessing it was due to lying awkwardly on my pillow whilst I was resting, as I've never had a problem before.

Thankfully it is settling a bit now but my neck is a bit stiff at times.

Hope you feel better soon x

Re: Neck Pain 7 weeks post op

Glad you posted this because I too have been dealing with neck pain. At first I thought the pillow I use at night is the cause so I switched to a new pillow but the pain still persist although not on daily basis. I can completely relate to the kind of pain you're describing. I hope you feel better soon.
