had my pre opp yesterday!!

Hi All,
Well, I had my pre-opp yesterday and met with my Doc again. I had all my questions and he had good answers. I am going to go with the spinal/epidural for my anethesia. This was weighing on my mind as to how to go. The anesthesiologist told me I was selecting the "cadillac" method. He was very excited I wanted to go this way. My doc told me to bring my own CD's and they would play my music..I declined. I want to be in a twilight sleep as I don't want to hear or see them doing the procedure. I am going to have to have the vertical incision as to my huge size of a uterus..but I am okay with that. The plan is to keep my ovaries, as I haven't had any problems so far with them..
I don't have to do any kind of enemas, etc. Just no food/liquid after midnite prior to Tuesday 3/12.
So, after this appt..I am finding myself actually relaxing now..and waiting. I have 3 days left of work, yeah!! Working has been the hardest part as I have so much I want to do around my house to get ready. Well, I have this weekend to prepare my home!
Take care all

I am glad that your preop was a good experience and you were so nicely prepared with questions and concerns. Having confidence in your doc helps to ease some of the anxiety. Do not wear yourself out getting the house ready etc before your surgery. Being well rested before surgery is an important step to your recovery. It is good to keep busy, but you need some rest at this stage too! Best of luck!
