Liw, Still!!

Has this happened to anyone else? My surgery was postponed until Friday, March 8 because of an abnormal EKG. I was already prepped and prepared to be a PP and now I have to wait. I passed my subsequent stress test with flying colors, though. I am relieved to know that nothing else is wrong, but frustrated that I am still a LIW.

Liw, Still!!

Dear Brenda,

I haven't had the same experience but wanted to say that I'm so sorry that you had to be rescheduled, but glad that your stress test turned out OK. That must have been really scary!!

I do know there is one other LIW who was scheduled for surgery
today and also was postponed, although I don't know the reason.

Please let us know how you are after you've been back home a couple of days.

I'm so sorry you're still having to wait. Please try to understand that since the EKG was abnormal, it's in your best interest that they didn't do the surgery without making sure your heart could handle it. Otherwise, you could've been in a lot more trouble. I'm glad the stress test turned out ok too. Hopefully, all will go well for you from here on.
