scary night i had last night

Hi ladies !! Well, i almost went to the emergency room last night. My headaches are going full force again. I woke up about 2:30 & my head felt like it was splitting open & i had this really strange ringing in my ears. I would of had to have my husband or 17 yr. old DS drive me to the ER though & i didnt want to bother them. It was that unbearable I have been fighting it off all day today. Thank god i go to the eye dr. on Fri. with my CT's i had done last fri. - maybe he will see something there. I just wanted to rip my eyes right out of my head last night & this morning. Its just too much on top of my pelvic pain. And then my mother has the nerve to say 'boy, you are starting to sound just like your father" - blah blah blah blah........ And then goes on to tell me how he is 'driving her nuts with his complaining". Felt like saying, well- guess i better just shut up then! My father has a lot of sinus problems & now they think he has either asthma or emphysema.
Sorry ladies for being such a whiner- its days like today when i feel like i just cant take any more. And add the stress of having problems with my jack_ _ _ husband (notice i left out "dear"). But i will survive it - you all have been such a godsend to me- i could never repay you !! 's

Susan,

I think the other day you mentioned you had some odd BP readings- can the headaches be part of the same? check it out with the doctor.

Sorry to hear about your Dad- make sure he goes to a specialist- asthma and emphasema are easy for a specialist to distinguish, and I'm sure you know that they require totally different treatment.

A few years ago my mother's GP thought she had asthma. My mother was an extremely healthy, athletic, non-smoker . Because she didn't get better on inhalers, I urged her to get further testing. Not to scare you, but much to the doctor's surprise she had advanced lung cancer. She was given 3 months to live, and we are thankful she lived almost 3 years beyond that, and lived an almost normal life most of that time.

(((((Susan))))))

I hope you are feeling better today. My first thought was the BP too. How is it? Or could you be having migraines? Anyway...(I'm gonna fuss now )))...if your head hurts that bad again, please don't hesitate to wake dh or ds or someone to take you to the ER. Not always, but sometimes this pain can indicate something serious and I'd rather you be safe than sorry.

I know it's tough to hear things like what your mom said, especially when you're feeling so bad. Sometimes people who don't have any health problems don't understand how those who are hurting feel and can say some insensitive things. In the 18 years I've known my dh, he's only rarely caught some kind of bug much less had anything really even requiring a dr's visit. He has made comments about my health issues too. But when the dr's given it a diagnosis and he saw that it was real (I've never given him any reason to think it was made up), he's seemed to feel guilty (without admitting it) afterwards.

Thanks ladies for al the 's - those are always more than welcome!!! I only had a problem with my BP on that one day & it hasnt bothered me since. But i will be seeing my GP next week to discuss my pelvic CT results & will ask her about it. I am going to talk to her about these headaches getting worse too. And the weird buzzing sound in my head when i had that splitting headache. Maybe i am just going nuts........ My sister has all the words memorized to that song from the 70's - "theyre coming to take me away"- maybe i should learn the lyrics too
Today i had to re-schedule my eye dr. app. because they messed up my ct scans & now i have to go back (again!) to have them re-done - aaarrrrggggghhhhhh !!!!!
Thanks ladies for listening to me vent (i know i do enough of it)
's to all of you

Actually I may be turning a corner here. However, I've been afraid to say it too loud for fear that I'll jinx myself. I'm still having gastrological problems, but the pains in my pelvic area and the incision area have finally started to subside. I can actually walk without wincing.

This last surgery really knocked me for a loop, but I think I'm starting to feel the floor back underneath my feet. Whew! I was getting really worried about me.

I started taking my Tofranil again too (for tummy problems) and that is helping a little.

Thanks for asking Susan.
