Losing my mind?

Hi everyone. My surgery is 12 days away and I have a question for you. I have always been one of those people that could remember anything. Recall has been one of the things I depend on, with my family and my job. Only once did I feel like I was losing it - when I was being injected with Lupron. But now, the hormones are there (still taking my BCPs), and I don't "feel" stressed, but I have been so forgetful lately. Normally, I know what's going on with my family and friends and coworkers, but right now, I've noticed that I don't remember, or only remember after being reminded. I guess with trying to get everything done, make sure there's plenty here to eat and drink, make a list of who will be picking up my daughter on what day and taking her where, etc., that it's no wonder. Maybe subconsciously, I'm stressed although I don't feel it. Anyone have this happen?

Losing my mind?

My TVH/BSO is scheduled for 3-18 and I am experiencing the same thing. I tried e- mailing a friend of mine and had to send 3 e -mails to her before I got everything correct. My last letter to her said " I'M OK, I'M REALLY NOT LOSING IT!"
Best Wishes to you ! Terri

Losing my mind?

I keep reminding myself that it's normal and just preoccupation, but boy, that's hard! Email me if it gets tough, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. It's always nice to have someone to vent to who is going thru the same thing - just like this fantastic site!
