went to the doctor today

Hi everyone. Just wanted you to know that I went to the DR. today and got some medicine for my anxiety. I hope I get rest and my appetite comes back. I lost four pounds since last wednesday when I found out I was having my surgery 3/21/01. I am going to eat some soup, that's about all I can handle right now and take my medicine and try to get some sleep. Pre-op is Monday. But I know once the meds take effect I will be doing a lot better than I am now. Is this normal to be as scared as I am. Does anyone else feel the same way I do? If so, please let me know how you are coping and what you are doing to make things better for you. Hubby is taking me shopping this weekend for my hospital stay stuff. Hope it takes my mind off things for a while.
Talk to everyone soon.....

went to the doctor today

Hi TGalvin,
I think that most of us were really scared before surgery. I know I was more so than I can believe. Now that I look back it wasn't near as bad as my mind was letting me think. When I went for my pre-op I was sooooo nervous. My blood pressure was up and my hands were sweaty. But I was relatively calm the morning of surgery. What I did prior to surgery was I kept busy getting things ready at home for my recoop time. I also spruced up the bedroom with some new curtains and bedspread. A few pretty pillows, just so it looked pretty when I came home. Soon you will be saying what was I so worried about. Best wishes sent your way.
