Any July Sister still having problems

Ihad my surgery last july and I am feeling pretty good, however I am still having bowel problems. I either constipated or have sever gas pain. My stomach still is swollen and tender. I went to my dr and he prescribe me some topical cream to put on my incision, which itches horribly. For the sister out there wondering when the numbness is going to come back. I have got most of my feeling back. My biggest problem is my bowels and I am wondering if anyone is still having this problem.

Jazitones,
Have you consulted with a gastrologist about the bowel problems? I've had IBS for many years, but my bowels got really bad after the hyst. My gastrologist has me on some meds that seem to be helping a bit.

I am with Kim on this one, Jazitones. I was just diagnosed with IBS this week. See if these symptoms sounds familiar to you: cramping and pain in lower stomach, constipation alternating with diarrhea, gas, bloating and pressure in rectal area. Hope this helps and let us know what you find out. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the replies. I just went to my dr on wednesday and he gave me a referral to a gastrologist. I have always had IBS most of life but seems that it has got worst. I will keep you posted on my prognosis.

Oh yeah the Pentagon is looking great the construction on the building is moving fast. It amazes me that some things in life can be fixed so easily and some things you could never fix or bring back. I have lost quite a few friends and coworkers and I will miss them dearly. My office has moved out of the building however we are are not far... pretty much walking distance from the pentagon. The tension is still there but of course if you work around military people it is business as usual.

take care
