Just want to offer some reassurance to all you ladies in waiting

I'm now just over 6 months down the line, I'm 34 years old and had my hyst because of Endometriosis.

It's been a long hard slog but I can honestly say that life is wonderful now. It probably took me 5 months to feel really well (once my HRT was sorted as well).

I can sooo remember all the fear I felt just before and I wanted to offer some reassurance that it's all worth it in the end.

Please all be patient with your recovery, and I know it's a long road but you've then got the rest of your lives to look forward to.

I had horrible bouts of grieving as well (missed my womb - although we'd never actually met ). But this has got less and less, now I have the odd wobbly moment if something triggers it, but each time it gets less powerful. Please don't underestimate what you're doing either, a hyst can trigger very powerful emotions, let them run their course and surround yourself with your true friends.

Please all be extra kind to yourself at this time. My thoughts are with you.

Take care

Just want to offer some reassurance to all you ladies in waiting

Hello Clara,
thank you for posting that.. Its nice to hear positive recovery stories... I won't mind the pain, I've had 3 c-sections which I know won't compare to the pain i'm in for but at least I've got an idea... my fears always stem from something going wrong... the other night I had a weird dream... (been having alot of those lately) that during the surgery, my doc had a heart attack or something... I think its cuz in the back of my mind I am worried about him in general.. he is a big guy... very very sweet, highly intelligent and skilled and in demand...
anyway.. thank you and I am glad you are doing well....
oh btw, had to chuckle at what you said about missing your uterus even though you never met... my daugher asked me if I was going to ask the doc to save it so I could see it.... LOL

Just want to offer some reassurance to all you ladies in waiting

:wave"
Hi . Thanks for posting. I am one of the 3-18 LIW so my waiting is almost over !!! Thanks for posting. I love reading encouraging words.
To Karah : I can't tell you until after Monday , but more than one person has told me that the pain they experienced from the hyst. was not as bad as their C - section. Even when I went to the pre op visit and talked to the nurse, one of the forms we went over was rating the pain from 0 to 10 , with 10 being the worst pain I ever had (childbirth ). She said that most ladies don't go above 5 which is moderate. So hopefully your pain won't be any worst than what you have already experienced. I know every one is different , but I hope this helps.
Best Wishes !!!
Terri
