Hello - I'm so happy I found this site. I had a lapo and hysto last Thursday, the doctor thought she would be able to remove two cysts and possibly an ovary but when she got in, she found another cyst larger than my uterus, endometriosis, fibroids, an ovary adhered to my uterus, etc....she tried to free up the ovary but it bled so she had to stop. I'm 38 in June, been married for 20 years, no children. I have to have a hysterectomy and she will try to leave in one ovary so I don't go into menopause as long as it is healthy. I see her this Thurs for follow up and probably setting up the next step......she said I should have it done ASAP, as in next month or at least before the first week of May. I'm really scared. By the way, I have a fantastic doctor and my regular doctor is fantastic as well. I have to have an abdominal procedure......

Welcome Donna

Donna, Hi! I'm glad you found your way here. The sisters are great. They have helped me so much and helped to ease my mind. My surgery is the 20th. I'm nervous, but have had a lot of questions answered here. Everyone will give you lots of support and encouragement along the way. I'm always here. I'll be in prayer for you. In Christ, Mikki Jo

Hi Donna,

Welcome to Hystersisters. It's perfectly normal to be scared right now - but the more that you read and ask questions, the less scary it will become, I hope.

There's alot of good information in the drop down menu's that are on the main screen. (You can get there by clicking onto the 3 Princesses at the top left of any page.) If you scroll down toward the bottom of the main page, you will see Pre-op and Post-op hints.

Keep reading, and be sure to let us know what happens at your next doctor's visit. We care.
