I never thouht this was going to be so hard
I told one of my daughters and my step daughter no cause they are expecting babies and they did not need to be there
I just want this to be over with

Here's an idea...all these nice and helpful people....tell them to SEND FOOD!!!

Yes, send food...they can cook and wrap and send it over to your house. Not visit, just send the food. You can rest and eat and they'll feel good and you'll be healing and well fed...and everyone wins!!!

I'm kidding, of course. But really, there are so many ways that friends can help without having to drive you and visit you in the hospital...

I'm sure your daughter will be happy to explain it to them and fend them off for you, until you feel ready to deal with them. Feel free to tell people, "thanks I'm not up to visitors yet, but please call me in a few weeks"...you may be looking for some diversion as you feel better!

Sending huge hugs to you...I know you are going to do great!!

((((ladypeewee))))

First of all I would like to send a big but gentle cyber your way. I don't know the best way to tell someone you don't want them or need them there. But, what you can try (if you want to) is to tell them "thank you for your offer to support me through my day of surgery and / or recovery, but I already have someone to be there with me". And add a very sweet smile and gentle hug to the end of it. They are all showing support right now, which is great & I am sure you appreciate it.

I can understand about wanting peace and quiet. I am pre still and have a little over a month to go till my hysterectomy. I get so moody and down I just want to be left alone to think. Sometimes to cry or read my Hystersisters book.

Hang in there. This will all be worth it in the end. I wish I could twitch my nose like "bewitched" does and make everything perfect for you (I would if I could). This time is ALL about YOU! Please take care and come back and post your story when you are feeling up to it.

Lots of ers going out to you from me for a smooth recovery and surgery. God Bless.
