Hi everyone. My surgery was to have been at Noon on the 20th, so I would've had to have been there at 10:00. Got back from my pre-op pampering (facial and haircut) to hear a message on my machine that my surgery has been moved up and I need to be there at 7:30 a.m. instead!!

I know that may not seem like a lot to some, but I had planned on taking my time in the morning, feeding my DD a good breakfast, and getting her to school first. Now, and thank my lucky stars for my Mom, my mother will come over around 7:00 and take her to eat and get her to school so my DH can take me in by 7:30.

I am so fortunate to have a wonderful supportive family and that they live nearby. Not sure what I would've done otherwise. Well, I guess my nerves are getting to me a little bit now, not that you can tell, right?!! LOL. Deep breaths.....Ok, a little better.

Thanks for letting me get out the jitters on here! Good luck to all the other LIW!

Breathe, lol. It might be a blessing in disguise, you won't have a lot of time to think and worry. You can just get up, get dressed and go. I had to be there at 5:30am and it was great. Best wishes to you.

I know just how you feel! My surgery was scheduled alot sooner than I had anticipated, too. God's hand is at work here and I know you will do just great! I'm praying for you!

Thanks soo much. Doing better I think. I'm a very organized, routine person, and even moving up my time got me out of whack! LOL!! But I am sure it will be a blessing in disguise as you say, so....I'm ready to go! I'm looking forward to posting as a Punctured Princess as soon as I'm up to it. Thanks again. It helps so much to get these replies and know we are not alone!

I hate surprises in my routine, too. My surgery was moved to early in the morning. I had to be there at 5:30 am. I was "thrown off" a bit by the change but, it was the best thing that could have happened. Once I realized it would be less time for the anxiety to get to me, I was fine with it. I would have been awake anyway and more nervous than I would have been able to stand if I had to wait til later in the day.

Hi Kristy

My surgery was at 7:30am too. I had to be at the hospital at 5:30am. I think it was nice not to have too much time to think about. Plus with no coffee in the morning not too much energy to think about it either.
I was out of recovery and resting comfortably in my room before noon.
We'll be thinking of you and sending lot's of good wishes.
See you on the other side.
