am I crazy or really this tired?

I am 38 and having a TAH 4/22/02. I have a lot of fibroids and very large ones and endo. take the BC everyday which used to help me manage this, not any longer, I have been spotting and bleeding for 2 months plus now. I am soooooo tired all the time, I mean really tired where I nap all the time and when I go out and do things I come home and literally pass out! Anyone else experience this? Did it go away after recovry from the hyster? I have tried anti-depressants , ginseng , regardless I am always whipped! Help!

am I crazy or really this tired?

I was fatigued for several years...I blamed stress, too much exercise, not eating right...turned out I was totally depleted of iron in my body due to major major periods caused by fibroids...I was anemic...after I was put on presscription iron pills...it took about 3-4 months for the fatigue to totally go away...so you may want to have your doctor check for anemia ESPECIALLY if you have been having heavy periods for a long period of time...I am totally 100 percent myself since my iron count went up...hope this helps....

Hi

I am sorry to hear you are sooooo tired all the time. You are certainly not crazy.
I am not a doctor but with all the bleeding it sounds like you could be anemic. Has your blood been drawn lately and has anyone discussed this possiblity with you? If not, please call your doctor right away and tell them what you are experiencing.
I too was bleeding very heavily when it was decided I needed a hysterectomy. I was very anemic and exhausted. I had no physical or emotional energy. Anemia can be serious. Also, if you are anemic I would think your doctor would want to put you on Iron to build up your blood before surgery.
Please get into to see your doctor right away and let us know how it goes.
