Next week at this time...

Okay, is it just me? My surgery is next week, and ever since I woke up this morning, my every thought is, "Okay, next week at this time, it'll be over," or "next week at this time, I'll be..." whatever!

Geez, am I going to be doing this all week?

Hi . I did the same thing. as long as I was busy and didn't think about it I was ok , but when I went to bed and tried to relax to go to sleep , my mind had other plans. I am now 1 week post op ,and it's kinda funny , because this morning I told my husband , that this time last week I was in recovery. So you are totally normal !!! Best Wishes to you and all the LIW. I can honestly say now that the waiting IS the worse part.

This time next week I'll be right there with you. My surgery is also scheduled on April 1st!!! I'm starting to get nervous. Lots of tension and anxiety. My pre-op is on the 27th and I don't know if I'm having a TAH or TVH, so you can see why I'm feeling this way.

Good luck on you surgery. I'll keep you in my thoughts and my prayers

It's totally normal to be preoccupied with the surgery. I was too. I just figured I had every reason to be distracted and stressed, and did my best to keep busy. I journalled about my feelings a lot, which helped with my sanity -- as did this site, of course.

Waiting is so hard!! It's incredibly stressful and definitely had me at less than my best for a few weeks beforehand. But it'll all be over before you know it.

Good luck!

Yep, I did it too.

It actually helped me..."next week at this time...I'll be home, on my own couch, watching this same stupid TV show, but it will be OVER"....for some reason, that was very comforting to me.

Hang in there, just a little longer, and then you'll be looking back and saying..."last week at this time......"
