15 hrs to go and postponed

Wgat a nightmare. It all started on Friday. My ins. co. called and said "we will not aprove the surgery w/o a second opinion" I thought ok,no biggie. They had an appt. with another dr. set up for Mon. Went to it and he agreed on the hyst. Wel I was told by my dr. that everything was ok for Wed. I waited all day to hear from their office. At 4:00 the dr office called and said it was approved BUT the dr with the ins. co. has to review and put his so called approval stamp on the file and he is gone for the day and wont be back until 10 am wed. So there went my surg for Wed.  I am so depressed!!!! For once I was actually ready for something ahead of time. My bag was ready, house cleaned, and I have been resting being lazy most of the day.

My dr. said that as soon as there is clearance on the surg. she will take the soonest available or room.

I just want to crawl in a whole until the morning of the actual surgery .

Sorry to be so blue

15 hrs to go and postponed

I feel so sorry for you! I don't know what I would have done if they had cancelled my surgery! The best I can say is hang in there, and believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I hope that you get the OK and can get on the schedule very soon.

postponed surgery

I am going through sort of the same thing. My surg. was to be Monday.. it is moved back two weeks for reasons not as frustrating as insurance, but none the less, the waiting is making me crazy. I havent slept in three nights/days. I just want it over with.. i dont want it to happen, i want it over with..

Sorry that you are having postponements. Fustrating I am sure. I hope there is some silver lining in this cloud.
The time does pass quickly although I am sure it seems like an eternity now.
My surgery date has come and gone and now I am 4 weeks post-op. It has gone quickly and as everyone says waiting REALLY is the hardest part.
Please hang in there and keep us posted. We're here for you.
