Tah-tah. Off to the castle!

Hello Ladies,
I leave in about an hour and I'm feeling really good. The last two days have been clear liquids (& laxatives at night) but it wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be.
This site has been fabulous for information for what to take with me, questions to ask, etc. I can't believe how calm I feel! Thanks so much!
My work gave me a "Hyster Party" on Sat. Made me a "throne"& a "Princess Shirley" sash, gave me a tiara and even a cloak (made from a shower curtain!). It was wonderful and so much fun. I work at Curves For Women with the best bunch of ladies you can imagine.
It made my send off really special.
To all you other LIW's....stay peaceful and concentrate on taking good care of yourselves both before and after surgery.
For myself, I just keep a picture in my mind of Jesus standing over the shoulder of my surgeon and guiding his hands.
I'll talk to you all later from "the other side".
Much love and good wishes,

Good Luck Shirley

You may not see this before you leave, but I'm sending positive vibes for an uncomplicated surgery and speedy recovery. I know how prepared you are from all of the information on this site - isn't it wonderful. I went for my medical clearance yesterday with my primary doctor and I knew just the right questions to ask and felt very knowledgeable.
I loved your mental thought of Jesus watching over your surgery. I'm going to think that too. You are in my prayers.
Looking forward to seeing your post on how it all went and hopefully we'll get to chat before I go for my TAH BSO on 4/16.

Looking forward to reading you saying the waiting was by far the worst part.
