To all going for surgery tomarrow......

I am going for surgery tomarrow. Im scheduled for 12:30pm. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who will be sharing this day with me in different hospitals throught the country!Pep talk time.........You know we are going to feel soooo much better! We will get stonger everyday! We will tolerate the Foley Caths(the part I personally dread most) The IV's and the pain. I want to say this web site is a blessing to me. I also want to say I feel I have the best Doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is almost family I have spent so much time going to him over the years!lol Well take care and Iguess I will be posting on the "other side"! Hugs....Angela

To all going for surgery tomarrow......

A week ago I was in the same situation. I also dreaded the foley as many of my symptoms related to bladder irritation.

The catheter did not bother me in the least, I was totally unaware of its presence. I developed transient retention and had to be re cathed - again this was totally pain free. Believe me, I am a real wimp - you will feel so much better on the other side and find that the major pre op concerns turn out to be nothing.

Good luck,

Hi Angela,
My surgery date is tomorrow, also. We're on opposite sides of the country. My surgery time is 7:45 a.m.

You'll be in my prayers for an uneventful surgery and a smooth, speedy recovery.

I'll look for your posts on the other side to see how you're doing.

Hugs Hugs, all the very best for your surgery. I will keep you in my thoughts and know that you will do fine. Hun the pain thing for me was just a feeling of being uncomfortable, not actual pain so hope it is the same for you. Go easy and rest heaps after. On your way.
We will leave the light on for your return, take care and good luck. hugs Vicki
