low abdominal/pelvic pain 7 years after hysterectomy

Hi all

I found this site because I was trying to find the cause of, what has now been pretty constant, lower abdo/pelvic pain. I had a urinary infection about 4 months ago which was cleared by anti biotics. I was left with some residual pain which I was told was the after effects of the infection so I waited for it to subside as I was told it would. I then moved from one end of the country to the other so had a lot on my mind. The pain was intermittent during that time. In the last 2 months however, it has become pretty constant and is worse at night and wakes me up at least 3 times. Getting up from a laying or sitting really pulls and exercise is tough. It feels muscular and is not painful when pressed but if I try to push anything heavy with my foot it pulls and I have to stop. I have had everything removed when I had my abdominal hysto - womb, ovaries, cervix so it is all very mysterious. I'm on the waiting list to have a scan via my doctor so will wait to see if that comes up with anything? I think, from what I have researched, that it may be adhesion of the scar tissue but clearly need confirmation of that and hope that this is not going to be something I have to suffer forever......Has anyone had similar symptoms and found relief that lasts? I do hope so.
