Simple question for post op sisters

I checked in at 7:30 Wednesday morning and was out by 11:00 Thursday morning, but I really really wanted to go home! If I'd wanted to stay, I'm sure I could have stayed. Plus I have no kids so coming home meant coming to a restful environment, and my dh and mom were taking care of me.

If you aren't ready to go, I really doubt they'll boot you. They'll find a way to work it out with the insurance company.

Simple question for post op sisters

I just wanted to let you know that I am having a
TAH/BSO on 4/15. I come in Monday morning at 6:00 for 8:30 surgery and I stay Monday and Tuesday nights and go home on Wednesday.

Hopefully, no fevers or anything to keep me in extra. The doctor said a lot of ladies have minor complications (like fevers) that might keep them in a little longer.

Take care, Kathy

Simple question for post op sisters

I went in on a Mon. and was home Wed. Insurance paid for 2 nights unless Dr. said I needed more. He was willing to have me stay but I asked to go home! You can't get any rest at all in the hosp. I swear they came in every 20 mins! I appreciate the care given but you can not rest!!

Simple question for post op sisters

I had a LAVH/BSO on Tuesday and I was home a little more then 24 hours later. Stay if you can but if you have help at home then you should be alright. Do make your recovery room peaceful and close to bathroom. Also make sure to speak to your doc about stool softners or something to help with that if you leave the hospital before you start going again. Good luck You should check out Why do I have another waistline? It is a truly funny thread to read. s Sassy
