endo/leg pain

Ok ladies I have been doing some thinking I was wondering if anyone else is in my situation. I was having some bad pain with sex and really bad periods. Went to Dr. he adv poss adeno did ultrasound adv he was pretty sure that was what it was. Well after my surg. he told me was not adeno after all was some small patches of endo on the back of my uterus. Well at first I thought this was great I had endo and they took care of it really early and I should be fine now. But now that I have had some time to think about it I am beginning to wonder. How will I know if it is still there what will they do if it comes back. And since they left both ovaries, should I expect that it will come back.

Also I have been having some severe leg soreness in the past 2 days I am 4 weeks post op and all has been fine until now. Also have not been sleeping well,

Maybe I am just making a big deal about nothing. I know that my endo was minimal( that the Dr. found). But I am just wondering what I have to look foward to now. Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

endo/leg pain

Hi,
I remember vividly not being able to sleep at night. I was so wound up and probably only slept 2-3 hours night after night. It was NOT because I was sleeping during the day. The whole reason was hormonal. Once I started on homones I felt so much better and was able to sleep through the night.

As far as the endometriosis, I would ask your doctor how he plans to keep tabs on this. I do know how painful that endo is and so I can understand your concern. My advice would be to ask lots of questions concerning the endo. Let your doctor know that you are having difficulty sleeping at night and wonder what can be done.

I see that you still have both ovaries. I lost both of mine so mine was clearly hormonal. Perhaps your ovaries are still sleeping some and are not back up to full speed.

endo/leg pain

hi daven,
I have the same concerns as you. The doc was so engrossed with my rapidly growing fibroids and ovarian cysts that he really wasn't expecting to find extensive endo when he opened me up. The op took 3 hours because he had to 'unglue' everything.

I looked up endo on the net and realised that I had nearly every symptom on the book. I so hope that it doesn't come back and will be asking him all sorts of questions at my 6 week check. I'm now 10 days post op.

Keep in touch and we'll compare notes.

Take care and keep resting!

Diana
