Difference in Hormones

Hi everyone! I am glad to say I am sleeping better(except for my cat waking me). I would like to know if premarin is stronger then estradiol? I take 2mg. of estradiol every a.m. I was on premarin.625 but I still wasn't sleeping too good and having hot flashes starting at 4pm every day(weird). I am concerned about a high dose because I smoke....I know it's bad for me and others. I am still constipated most of the time. Can anyone help? Doctors just ignore me.
Thanxs alot____Seeking

Difference in Hormones

Seeking smoking can be a double edged sword here in the jungle. Smokers usually require higher doses of estrogen and higher doses of estrogen and smoking have definate health drawbacks as I'm sure you already know.
Have your doctors checked your thryoid? Hot flashes and constipation are certainly symptoms of hypothyroidism. Actually menopause and thyroid disorders share alot of common symptoms its just that the constipation really caught my eye as that was my major complaint for two years pre-hyst and turns out my endocrin says I was probably hypo then it was just that my thyroid was still fuctioning at times.
Here is a link that you can take a look at to see if you have any of the other symptoms of thyroid problems.
