weight gain or weight loss...

... which did some of you experience during your four, six, or eight week recovery process? I'm just curious, as I'm a little on the underweight side, but seemed to put on weight when I hurt my back a few years ago and was a little less active for a while.

Thanks for all the answers, encouragement, and hugs you are all willing to share!!

weight gain or weight loss...

Hi,

I'm almost 8 weeks post op, I had lost about 10 pounds (no appetite for a couple of weeks), but I have put a couple of them back on, now I have to walk more and eat less!

Hi

I came home from the hospital 10 pounds lighter. However, I had alot removed and did not eat any solid food for 8 days.
I tended to want to eat lighter for those first few weeks. I ate whatever I wanted and am now 5 weeks post op. The 10 pounds stayed off easily.
I just put on my estrogen patch last Friday and have shot up a few pounds. Time to walk more and start watching what I eat I guess.
We are all different. Ice Cream goes down pretty well those first few weeks if you are concerned about losing too much weight.
Good luck.

Lost a few

Hi, I lost a few lbs after surgery. I am 12 days post-op and have lost about 8 lbs. I had everything taken out tho and I had an enlarged uterus. I am unsure if it weighed a significant amount and by coincidence I had just called my dr's office an hour ago to find out how much it weighed. So I am waiting for their call back after they check out the pathologist report. I am eating well, and have done so pretty much about 2 days after surgery. I am on the hormone patch which I have heard causes weight gain, but I will keep my eye on that. Keeping my fingers crossed. lol Blessings to you, Mikki Jo

I lost a few pounds while I was home recovering, but the pounds are back again (ugh!) Time for more exercise, I'm sure.
