Nerve Entrapment

I'm 3 weeks post BSO, age 37 and am having problems due to nerve entrapment from a suture. I work with the surgeon who did the procedure and although this isn't common, it does happen with pelvic surgery. Aside from the teariness and hormonal changes, the pain is making it very frusterating. I was curious if any of you had nerve problems post op. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated. Thanks.

Nerve Entrapment

Hi Bailey!

I don't have this same experience to share, but I did want to let you know I'm sorry about your complication.

Did the surgeon discuss how your condition will progress? How it can be treated? How long before improvement can be expected? It does sound painful, and I sure hope it does get better for you!

Hang in there, sweetie - please continue to let us know how you are doing.

Me too !!

Hi, I am almost 5 months post-op with severe nerve entrapment too., I reinjured myself and caused the problem. Ever since ( 2 1/2 months ago I have been through the wringer too. Finally after ruling out a hernia 2 different physical therapists said that I have a cutaneous neuroma that they can easily feel. This is also the main area of SEVERE pain that radiates all around my groin area. I couldnt make it without the pain meds. So far p.t. hasnt helped so my next step is with a pain doc to discuss a nerve block injection, the thought of any more surgery is unbearable. E-mail me anytime and let me know how your'e doing.
