Been Cooking all morning!

Trying to get meals lined up for my guys....complete with instructions on the outside!
I added two recipes in the recipes section....you might want to check them out!
I will go back through my recipes and add some more either today or tomorrow as time permits.
My Castle date is tentatively set for May 2nd, but I am supposed to call the Doctor's office in the morning to see if they have moved it up due to cancellations......I'm getting very nervous!
So I either have a month to get ready or as soon as the next week or so!! Making me crazy and Hubby is at wits end putting up with me!
I sure hope that it is sooner than later!!
To everyone with upcoming surgery's I am sending out my positive thoughts and energy your way!!
We are all going to be fantastic 's!!
Sorry to be long winded but typing and cooking have been my therapies today as I am getting tearful a lot and am trying to hold it together for DH and my DS's.
I know that my fears and apprehensions are completely "normal" but it still doesn't make it any easier!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!

Hi JDD

It sounds like you are doing pretty good to me. But hey, if you need to go in the bathroom and have a good cry, then please do it. You will feel lot's better. I know this is scary.
The time will go by quickly and soon you will be a healthy, happy
Hang in there!
What's for lunch?

Lunch??

OMG Hon...I hadn't really thought about that yet!! hehehe
Well proabaly gonna be a mug of veggie soup and some yogurt.
Love those new Yoplait Whips...they are outta this world!!
Well got 4 meals in the freezer (today) and am gonna start dinner in a couple...will be a double batch so half can be frozen for another meal.
DH is a great cook but works VERY long hours and won't be able to cook and do a bunch of other stuff....so I will have 17 meals ready (3 days in Hopsital and 2 weeks after)
It's a lot of work but he will appreciate having my cooking and doing nothing more than just warm things up and right now I feel better knowing that I am still providing for my family even though I will not be cooking nightly.

Been Cooking all morning!

Boy, I'm impressed with you guys! Meals with instructions!! 17 meals!! And I thought I was organized :-) Have to check out those recipes - thanks for sharing :-)

I had a bunch of stuff in the freezer, but figured I'd also save on dirty dishes, so we lived on Healthy Choice frozen dinners, sandwiches for lunch (I stocked up on ingredients pre-op, and my husband put them together), a few meals neighbors brought by, and occasional take-out food for the first week or so.

I was able to participate in meal making after the then. Had hubby lift heavy items, bend to get stuff, open the big freezer, etc.

Getting ready to go through it again for my thyroid surgery next Tuesday.
