Jitters, Jitters, Jitters

Today is so supposed to be a happy day for me and I can't even enjoy it, thinking about my surgery on April 19th. Today is my B-Day and you would think I could at least stop thinking about my surgery for one day, but it seems merely impossible. My Gyn nurse called me yesterday and said that the doctor needs to see me on Monday. I just recently had some test done and I am so aftraid that something is wrong. I am also scheduled to get my next lupron injection on Monday and those make me horribly sick. I don't want to be a pest, but I am so scared. Please let me know if you have any advice to help calm some of my jitters.

Hi Shara,

A big to you.
Gee, you really do deserve to enjoy your birthday. Perhaps you could call the nurse back and ask why the doctor wants to see you on Monday. I know how worried you must be.
Maybe, just for today you could turn it over to God. Yo deserve your birthday off from worries.
What are you going to do to celebrate your birthday? I hope you have lot's of fun things planned.
How about.... a nice long bubble bath with scented candles and soothing music playing...a scoop of your favorite ice cream....a little shoulder rub or massage...going to a movie...visit a pet store and look at the puppies..call your best friend...and just whatever makes you feel good.
Things are going to get better. Hang in there. We are here for you.

Thanks

Thank you for the encouragement, b/c I really need it today. My hormones are out of control today and all I feel like I can do is cry. I wish I could call my doctor, but he is in surgery for the day. Thanks to responding to my email.

Happy Birthday!!! Another year younger right (I started counting backwards when I was "supposed" to have hit 40. Sure makes it tough having to figure out how old you are!!!)

Seashelley was right. A bubble bath, a scoop of ice cream, great music. Rest and relax.

I am a little over 6 wks away from the castle and I know how obsessive I can be about this. But one day away from the obsessions would be a good escape.

Happy Birthday. Have a piece of cake for me (then you get those calories, I certainly don't need them!!).

Hi Shara, Please make the most of your chance to enjoy your birthday. My TVH is on the 19th also and my birthday is on the 23rd so I probably won't remember much about mine. I am going to celebrate next weekend instead, I love my birthday and being with my friends and if they can take my mind off what is forthcoming then so be it. Go out and have a good laugh, you may not be able to do it much after the op for a while, you will feel so much better for it. Happy birthday and good luck on the 19th.
Best wishes, Katy
