difference between pain clinic & pain management dr?

Hi ladies ! I have a question- any of you know if/what the difference is between a pain clinic & pain management dr. ? I finally got my provider directory in the mail (lost my old one) & noticed there are pain management drs. listed in it. Maybe the pain management drs. work IN the pain clinics?
I am just trying to get this all figured out before i go to my GP on tues. I am a little nervous about asking her about this pain clinic thing again (mentioned it once already). She thinks i should just get a lap done cause she thinks i have adhesions (gyn would do it). And my gyn. is hesitant cause he is afraid the adhesions could be worse after another surgery. All i know is that either SOMETHING needs to get done soon OR my pain needs to be managed ! I am so sick of these drs. all saying something different & then just passing me off onto another dr.
Guess i am rambling again......... Anyway, if any of you know anything about this stuff i would appreciate any in-put you would have. Thanks a lot !! 's

There is no difference. I go to a Pain Clinic that is run by Pain Drs. I agree that you deserve to have your pain managed exp. since they cant seem to figure out what is going on My prayers are with you, please let us know how your appt goes....
