Surgery 4/9/02

I will be having a TAH. I have large fibroids and anemic. I have experienced heavy bleeding. Will the large bloating in the abdominal area recede after the surgery? Also, is there weight loss or gain after the surgery. Everyone tells me I will feel so much better afterwards. I can't wait! I also have a sit at a desk job. My doctor says that I may be able to work 1/2 days after 2 weeks if I am up to it. Is that a realistic goal?

Surgery 4/9/02

I'm also wondering the same thing as to will my stomach go down after my surgery. I have one fibroid that is 7cm and the others are smaller. The heavy bleeding along with the extreme cramps is enough to make me want to have this surgery.
As far as going back to work, I hope that I can go back 1/2 days as well but I'm not going to push it. I want to do as my doctor tells me to. Maybe someone can answer your questions because I would sure like to know as well.
Take care of yourself and I will be praying for you.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if......

we lost that swollen belly or a few pounds !!! I too have been curious with all the pain if my belly would flatten in time after surgery ??? I do know that after my laproscopy on the 18th of March it looked like I was 5 months pregnant for a couple weeks....but it has gone down now. But, still I'm swollen a bit and I hope once the uterous is removed I can see a difference....I stay sorta bloated from the pain of my monthly but I'm really hoping after all this the swelling monthly goes away...???? Very good question !!! I'll be checking back to see if any of the princesses reply !
Best of luck to you !
