18 hours I'm on my way to the castle...I started

My bowel prep this wonderful gallon of electrolyte....I am trying to drink it as fast as I can ....I feel like I'm going to throw-up.My last meal was 2 peices of toast Sat morning at 8:00am.I wished I would of had pancakes ,eggs bacon ,& sausage.I know there are several others LIW for tomorrow so I hope bringing up food doesn't torture you in any way! What can I do to make this nasty stuff go down better or is there just NO way around it?
I am getting so nervous I can feel my legs shake and also have times where I just cry. My biggest fear is when I first wake up what I'm going to feel .Plus it's so hard to come out of it & all the nurses are talking to you ,they want you to open your eyes...& you try with everything you can...but they just won't open or after they do they won't stay that way.I HATE that !!!
I'll be back ...I'm off to force myself to drink...I don't even know what to compare it too ...YUCK .Thanks for letting me vent.
Take it easy

I got something else to take...

My surgery is Tuesday..and they told me to take a fleet phospho-soda? I never took that before..

I did take the one you are taking..and all i can suggest is to drink it as cold as you can get it..

I was pretty good with it..until that very last glass..
It works like a charm...

Good luck.

Hey, Jo-Anne!

You'll do great!! I'm 16 days post-op here from an LAVH/LSO. It is *so* much better on *this* side of the surgery! You'll be fine - we all have things to deal with once we wake up from the surgery. That afternoon and evening weren't so great, I'll admit, *but* the nurses kept saying I'd feel a lot better in the morning and they were *so* right!! So will you!

Have a nice stay and remember to come back to post whenever you feel like sitting at the computer - and not a second before!

If you've looked around these boards much, you know the routine - after the surgery, drink, rest and walk (a little) - and I can personally suggest - buy some dried prunes! I have 4 "bite sized" ones with a bagel and hot tea each morning for breakfast and I'm glad every day that I eat them!! Drink lots! Cranberry juice is good. I asked for it all the time in the hospital.

Hugs and prayers to you,

You'll do fine!! Love, Sue
