Hyster Sisters book ?

I'm pretty new here and I was wondering, did you ladies have a private room when you went in to the hospital for surgery? I'm asking because as much as I love people and talking to them there is nothing worse when you get stuck in a room with someone when all they do is yell at everyone and complain. When I had my daughter, I had to share a room with someone like that. I was also wondering if you have the Hyster Sisters' books. I'm having a hard time finding books locally.

Hyster Sisters book ?

The hospital I went to is a women's hospital and has only private rooms. If you can get a private room, I would recommend it. That way you won't have to worry about getting a noisy roommate, or one who has lots and lots of company.

You can read about the book, "Through the Land of Hyster: The Hyster Sisters' Guide" by clicking here. It's a great book to have pre op and during your recovery.

Through The Land Of Hyster

Hi Melissa!

I requested a private room and was able to get one, thank goodness. I personally did not want others around. I've read many posts of gals who did have a roommate and it worked out very well, though. My choice was to be alone.

The book is fantastic! I recommend it highly! I also recommend the Journal. There you are reminded of things to do, ask, and avoid, as well as document anything and everything involving your experience. I found it very helpful to write down DR's instructions, document symptoms and events that led to those symptoms as I was recovering, etc. It's wonderful!

Best wishes, sweetie!
