Monday night out.....decided on a tatoo

Well it is a tradition in my neighborhood to leave the little ones with my teenage daughter and have an adult night out. So tonight good friends of mine and my hubby went out for a few margaritas...my last before surgery next week. So after a few we decided I shall have a tatoo artist in the OR and have a lovely tattoo saying

"Uterus free.....and loving it"

Right above the scar....with a little vine of flowers

My neighbors idea.....oh boy did I laugh and did I need a laugh....thank goodness for good friends. I needed to know they were there for me. And they understood my fears. What a great night out we had. I even forgot about the surgery for at least a half an hour.....thats alot as you know.

My Tatoo

I'm going to have "NO BAND-AIDS!!" tatoo'd on my abdomen before surgery. I have a severe allergy to the latex in bandages, and I can just see some over-worked, underpaid, patient care tech slapping a big band-aid on my ouchee and subsequently taking most of my skin off when it is removed. (Maybe I could write it in magic marker. What do you think, girls?)

Hi Cindy

Boy what a night out you had. Friends can be so wonderful when we need them and even when we don't. Love the tatoo. I really would have like to have one that said please cut on dotted line. God bless.

Monday night out.....decided on a tatoo

I'd go for the magic marker - sometimes there are periods of life that are just best to move beyond. I love the idea. Had surgery on tummy in Novemeber, and as they were getting ready to knock me out I sang them "Found a peanut, found a peanut. ...". The surgeon laughed so hard he almost knock the instruments on the floor.

My mother always said when things get bad, you can either laugh or cry, so you might as well laugh. Let's think up some good messages!

Cheers

the dotted line sounds really good. Just make sure that

A) PJ from Family Circle doesn't draw the line - OR

B) If it looks like that, you make a big red X marks the spot to make it look like your treasure map!!!!

Thanks for the laugh, I needed it. Less than 7 days to go and doing ok for now.
