How many hours

How many hours was everyone in surgery? I am having uterus and cervix removed. Also having scar tissue taken care of and the lining around my bowels and where ever else the lining is messed up. I am just curious how long hubby will have to wait. I feel so sorry for him. He will be so nervous.

Thanks you all

How many hours

I had TAH/BSO and bladder repair. My husband said that I was in surgery for about 2 hours. Although, they came out at about one and a half hours to tell him that my ovarian mass was benign and that they were in the process of closing me up.

How many hours

I was in surgery for only about an hour and a half or less. My doc wanted to be able to get in, check everything all over real good, and then get out. Said my blood count was low and the less I bled the better. Was then in recovery for around an hour and then moved to my room. I, of course, had no idea where I was after the drugs kicked in and woke up blissfully to a morphine shot going into my booty. =o) Thank God for morphine! =o)

My family said the doc checked in with them regularly to update them on how things were going.

Good luck and God bless.

How many hours

Hi,

I was told 1-3 hours for surgery as they weren't sure what they would find in there. Initially they thought fibroids, instead they found adeno and my uterus adhered to my abdomen. They called my hubby from the OR, I love the military, at the 1/2 way mark. He knew what they had done and what they still had to do. They called him 2 more times before I was in recovery.

Ask your doctor what the time length he's thinking of with no complications. Then ask him what the length is going to be with complications. That should give you a big enough window so your hubby will have stuff for him to do. He will be nervous, but bored as well!

I was in for 3-1/2 hours. They took out everything, including adhesions and endometriosis here and there.

Nobody was waiting, so I didn't have anybody to fret about.
