I'm Home!!

Short trip...had my LAVH/BSO yesterday at 10:00am and was allowed to go home tonight at 6:00!! Had to do a little begging, but everything went good!! Surgery was a little tougher than they expected...said if I had not have had it laposcopic they probably would have had to do it abdominally...uterus didn't want to cooperate too well! So surgery lasted about an hour longer, but other than some pain right after surgery and some discomfort last night...I felt really good today, catheter was taken out right after surgery, IV gone this morning, and I was up walking around today! WAITING IS THE WORSE PART!! Didn't have a morphine pump, not sure why...they said I would, but nurses were very helpful and gave me pain meds whenever I asked...also gave me a sleeping pill to help rest last night! Well, better not sit up too long...need to rest! Doc found no endo, but did say my uterus was enlarged and VERY boogy and retroverted, said he is sure it will show adeno! Well, better get some rest before the DH comes and turns off my computer!!

I'm Home!!

Hey MJM, Welcome Home!

I am so glad everything went so well. When you're rested, please update us all on the smoking issue - that thread got alot of interest and responses and I'd really like to hear from you about how you managed.

I'm glad your DH is lookin' out for you but don't stay away too long. I've really benefitted from your posts so far.

Sleep well, newly Punctured Princess,

Cecee

I'm Home!!

Hey, s to you, new rincess:!

Now, be good, don't overdo (like I did, lol), rest, drink lots of water, rest some more, sleep, rest some more, watch tv and be a couch potato, rest some more, etc. etc. etc. I'm so glad for you and yes, the waiting is THE PITS!!! Once it's over with we wonder why we were so stressed out. Isn't it great being on the other side?

Here's to a great recovery, hope to hear from you again soon, but remember - sitting at the computer is an activity.

So glad you are on the other side and all went well for you.
When you feel better, tell me what boogy means.

Bless your DH. Don't forget....
