pee or watery discharge??????

I hope someone can shed some light on my confusion! I have been waking up for the past week with what I finally came to believe was urine...I got in to see my Dr. about it today. He took a look and told me that I had some discharge that was somewhat strong in odor, and some granulation. He prescribed some metrogel that I am to use for five days to see if it (the leakage/discharge) goes away. I told him of my concerns of fistula, which he said he did not think it was because He said i would have leakage all the time, not just overnight. Please help me understand what is going on with my body.

pee or watery discharge??????

Kimi:

Did your dr. say that he suspected an infection ? Reason i ask is because i had a mild infection at 4 wks. post-op & my gyn had me use the metrogel for it. So maybe he is trying to rule out an infection first. I am not a dr. so i am just guessing here.
Maybe you could call your drs. office tommorrow & ask if that is what its for. And ask if there is anything else he suspects. Wouldnt hurt to call, maybe they could explain it a little better for you.
Another thing, when i had my infection i also had a really bad yeast infection also. They gave me Diflucan for the yeast infection.
Let us know what you find out & how you are doing. 's

pee or watery discharge??????

Kimi..I just had BV (bacterial vaginosis). My discharge was similar to what yours is. I wasn't sure if it was urine or discharge. I did have it through the day also and I had to wear a Light Days pad. On the pad the discharge appeared yellow. My doctor gave me Metrogel also and it did clear up.

Hope you feel better soon!

pee or watery discharge??????

Hi Kimi,
I had a very slight infection one week post op and was prescribed the metrogel as well. I used the gel for 5 days and I still discharged up until 5 weeks post op. My discharge was very watery ( I thought it was urine as well) and then a very slight "tan" color. It has completly stopped now at 6 weeks.
Yeah!! No more panti liners!
