Pathology report

Went for my annual check up, less to check up on. At 2 months post op, I'm feeling great and have been going to the gym for 3 weeks now. The first thing the doc said as she walked in, was that I looked healthier than she's ever seen me.

I finally remembered to ask about the pathology report and she went over it with me. Turns out, I never knew how sick I was. I knew about the fibroids and the adhesions, I didn't know to what extent. The fibroids, numerous small and large ones, swelled my uterus to a 14 week gestational size, 3-4 times normal size. The endo had stuck my uterus to my bladder, my colon and my abdominal wall. One ovary was stuck to the uterus, one was stuck to the uterus and the abdominal wall. Endo on the bowel, bladder, uterus, and cysts on my ovaries and tubes. Also adeno and scar tissue everywhere.

She said she took what she could of the cervix, it was stuck to my colon and she had to leave a piece of it or else do a colonostomy on me.

I'm so glad it's all gone and my body can concentrate on being healthy instead of dealing with pain and disease inside. I feel 20 years younger. I wish I'd done this sooner.

Pathology report

Your path sounds like mine. They took an hour just to unstick everything to send it to pathology. They got all of my cervix. I am glad you are doing so well. I am at a little over 4 months and it only gets better. The best to you!
